How it works

EPDM is a closed-cell rubber foam used in cars and refrigerators because it stays flexible from below freezing to a hot summer afternoon. The strip compresses when the door shuts, fills the gap, and springs back open without losing shape — so the seal works on day one and still works a year later. The adhesive backing is a high-tack acrylic, not a cheap rubber glue, which is why it stays stuck to wood, metal, plastic, and painted frames without lifting at the corners.

You'll need: a clean rag, scissors, and about five minutes. That's it.

Install in 3 steps

1. Clean the frameWipe the door or window frame with a dry cloth. Adhesive sticks to dust about as well as you'd expect — which is to say, badly. Take 30 seconds here and the strip stays put for a year.
2. Peel and alignStart at one corner. Peel back 10–15 cm (4–6 in) of backing, line the strip up against the frame edge, and press as you peel the rest. Don't pre-peel the whole strip — it'll stick to itself.
3. Press and trimRun your thumb firmly along the full length to set the adhesive. Cut to length with scissors at corners and the end. Close the door once to seat the seal. Done.
