Most sound-blocking curtains leave gaps around the edges, letting outside noise slip through between the fabric and window frame. The KK1440 solves this by attaching flush to your window frame or door with the included double-sided Velcro tape, for a closer, more complete seal. No rod and no drilling required. The curtain closes down the middle with a magnetic center closure.

Easy on. Easy off. Velcro, no drilling. The tape runs along the edge of your window frame, so the curtain attaches and detaches easily.

How the seal works

1Stick the Velcro tapePeel and stick the double-sided Velcro tape to the inside edge of your window frame or door. Takes 2 minutes.
2Attach the curtainPress the curtain edges onto the tape, pulling the fabric flat against the wall.
3Seal closesThe attached edge closes the gap that ordinary curtains leave open: less light, less draft, less noise.
4Remove anytimePull the curtain off the tape for cleaning or daylight, then press it back into place.

What it does

Blackout fabric. Triple-layer blackout fabric keeps daylight, streetlights, and headlights out of your room.
Noise reduction. Dense layers absorb mid- and high-frequency sound: traffic, voices, lawnmowers, dogs. Best results when the curtain fully overlaps the frame.
Thermal insulation. Cuts heat transfer through the window. Keeps bedrooms cooler in summer and reduces drafts in winter.
Honest note: Curtains alone won't fully silence bass, drumming, or a freight train. For maximum noise reduction, pair with our acoustic wall panels or door kit.

How is this different from a regular blackout curtain?

Regular curtains hang from a rod and leak light around the edges. The KK1440 attaches flush to your window frame or door with Velcro tape, sealing the gap where light and noise sneak through. It also closes down the middle with a magnetic center closure.

Do I need a metal window frame?

No. The kit includes double-sided Velcro tape that sticks to your window frame or door. No metal strips are needed or included.

How many curtains do I need?

Each curtain is sized per window, so order one curtain per window. Have two windows? The 2 pieces option saves you money.

Will this work for a baby nursery?

Yes. The blackout fabric helps darken the room for daytime naps.

Will it actually block traffic noise?

It noticeably reduces mid- and high-frequency noise (voices, traffic hum, lawnmowers). It won't fully silence deep bass or heavy machinery. For that, treat the walls and door too.

Will the Velcro tape damage my wall or paint?

Results vary by surface and paint quality. Test a small hidden corner for 24 hours first if you're unsure.

Can I remove and reattach the curtain easily?

Yes. Pull the curtain off the Velcro tape, then press it back on whenever you want it up again.

1. Airborne Noise

  • This travels through the air, like conversations, TV sounds, or barking dogs. When sound waves hit a building, they cause it to vibrate, transmitting through the structure.

2. Impact Noise

  • This results from physical impacts on buildings, such as footsteps, slamming doors, or moving furniture. Impact noise can be harder to isolate, as these vibrations are stronger and travel further through dense materials.

Decibels are measured logarithmically (not as a percentage) . This means that every increase of 10dB on the scale is a tenfold increase in sound pressure level (SPL) . Near silence is 0dB 🤫, while a sound at 10dB is ten times louder!
